Outdoor & Lifestyle
We open the Mexican market for premium brands from the US and Europe — and stay to grow it.
Who we are
Ocote Supply is a US and Mexico-based sales agency for premium outdoor and lifestyle brands. We exist because Mexico is one of the most attractive consumer markets in the Americas — and one of the easiest to get wrong.
Most brands enter through a single importer, hand over the market, and lose visibility over pricing, positioning and retail execution within two seasons. Others try to do it themselves and discover that Mexican retail runs on relationships, terms and paperwork that don't travel.
We sit in between. We give you the commercial presence of a local subsidiary, without the entity, the payroll or the inventory risk.

Ocote is a resinous pine native to Mexico, a reminder of the country's remarkably diverse landscapes — often an unexpected discovery for many — that attract outdoor enthusiasts from around the world. Traditionally used as a fire starter, the ocote embodies the role we strive to play for our clients: igniting their growth and helping them establish a lasting presence in this unique market.
Our model
We represent your brand commercially in Mexico — opening and managing the accounts, negotiating the terms, protecting your pricing architecture and reporting back to you the way an internal team would.
How that partnership is structured depends on your brand, your stage and how much of the market you want to own. We're flexible on the model and uncompromising on the execution. What doesn't change is that your positioning stays intact, you keep visibility on every account, and we only win when your sell-through does.
We work with a deliberately small number of brands. We would rather say no than represent something we can't place with conviction — so the first conversation is as much us qualifying the fit as you.

Services
Because Mexico is a complex place to trade in and the classic import-and-hope model keeps failing good brands, we built an offer that covers the whole commercial chain — from the first market read to the quarterly account review.
Channel mapping, competitive landscape, pricing and margin architecture for Mexico, import and compliance routing — NOM labelling, duties, incoterms — and a realistic season-one plan.
We carry the line. Account prospecting, showroom and sample management, order collection, negotiation and follow-through — from independent specialty retail to the national department store and sporting-goods groups.
Ongoing ownership of your major retail relationships: assortment planning, sell-through review, replenishment, markdown and promotional calendar, and quarterly business reviews.
Merchandising standards, staff and sales-floor training, in-store activation, and the sell-in and sell-out tools your retail partners need so the brand lands the way it does at home.
Coordination with importing and 3PL, order and shipment tracking, documentation, credit and receivables follow-up, and consolidated reporting in your format.
Social and digital media, press and PR, events and ambassador programmes, retail marketing, tradeshows, and SEO & SEM — run in Spanish, for a Mexican audience.
How we work
We learn your objectives, your constraints and what "success in Mexico" actually means for you. No cost, no commitment.
A written view of where your brand fits in Mexican retail — at what price, against whom, and through which channel.
A season-one commercial plan: target accounts, phasing, pricing, investment required and expected outcomes.
We go to market as your team — and report on it in your format, and your desired frequency.
Too many times have we seen the same thing happen in Mexico: real demand, real retail, and yet great brands entering through the wrong door. Ocote exists to be the door that works — close enough to the market to execute, independent enough to tell you the truth about it.
